Trust

Our Partners are qualified Trustees with several years of experience in establishment and administration of Trust. We provide full support for the setting up of a Trust in Mauritius.

Our team takes the responsibility of the legal drafting process of the Trust Deed to the registration (if needed) and provide the management of the Trust operations. The structure provides more privacy and confidentiality than a company. We also ensure sound structuring of your assets, continuity of management of asset over several generations, protection of Assets from Creditors in case of spendthrift Trustand Beneficiaries are decided by the Settlor irrespective of the heirship rules.

We further provide the setting up of Private Trust Company ('PTC'). The PTC also allows members of the Settlor's family to form part of the Board of Directors and requires neither public register nor registration of the individual in the Trust.

The use of a Mauritius Foundation is particularly interesting if:

Global Funds

Wortels Lexus Law Firm works with a team of specialists who are dynamic, innovative and committed experts in global fund services. Our Fund Services Team has particular expertise in setting up and administration of Global Funds.

Our team provide global fund services under the two main categories of Investment Funds which are structured in Mauritius namely:

  • Open Ended Fund (Collective Investment Scheme or commonly called CIS)
  • Closed End Fund (CEF such as Private Equity Fund)


Protected Cell Company

We work with a team of specialists who can set up Protected Cell Company ("PCC"). PCC gives the advantage of having separate legal entities. It enables division of assets between different cells within a single company. The Mauritius legislation available for PCCs is currently designed for investment fund and insurance business.
