LOUIS CLENSY APPAVOO
Louis Clensy Appavoo is a Finance Professional, a Tax Expert and a seasoned Business Consultant.
He is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), he holds an MBA in "Global Business Strategy" from Oxford University and a Degree in "Management Information Systems and Computer Science".
Clensy is actually the Chief Executive Officer of Appavoo Group which specializes in 'Finance, Management and Development' . He also culminates the position of Senior Partner of "HLB Appavoo & Associates" , a leading firm of Accountants and Business Consultants which is the member firm of HLB International in Mauritius with head office based in London. Founded in 1969, HLB International has members and correspondent firms in more than 150 countries and ranks within the largest accounting and business advisory group world-wide, with an annual fee income in excess of US $ 3 billion, generated by more than 2,000 partners and 15,000 staff in over 500 offices.n

Before joining Accountancy Practice, Clensy was employed in the private sector as Accountant with the Mauritius Chamber of Agriculture. Before that he served in the Public Service as "Investigating Officer" with the local Income Tax Department preceded by a term of service with the Judiciary as 'Court Officer' with the Supreme Court of Mauritius .
Clensy is the founder member of Appavoo Group and he is the driving force of the firm which employs some 70 persons and which offers a great array of professional services ranging from Accountancy, Audit, Taxation to high level consultancy works, offshore business structuring, corporate finance and forensic services.
Clensy is a key speaker at different international conferences on finance, tax structuring and offshore business administration bringing him to India, Washington, Australia, China and various European Countries.
He has served on the ROSC of the World Bank for the review, design and implementation of the Accounting Profession in Mauritius. He has also been the President of the Mauritius Employers Federation (MEF) (now Business Mauritius) and he sits on various Board of Directors and several strategic committees as Lead Advisor . He plays active part in advising clients in Finance, Business Structuring, Taxation, Global Business and New Technologies on the Board of Wortels Lexus, a leading Law Firm and Legal Consultant.
During his leisure time, Clensy is an artist who paints in oil, acrylic and aquarelle. He enjoys cooking, reading, swimming and romantic movies.
